Digitalsmiths Awarded New TV Shows

Digitalsmiths Corporation in cooperation with Davis*Glick Entertainment has been awarded several new television show contracts that will utilize their rapidly growing video search application Media Access Pro™. The Beaufort-based internet development company will produce an integrated searchable database for the shows “Sex and the City”, “Friends”, “South Park” and others to be announced later. The contract also provides for video streaming services to be hosted at the Digitalsmiths data center in Columbia, SC.

“The application provides television show producers and marketing agencies the ability to instantly find material within the show that can be used for promotional and targeted commercials,” said Ben Weinberger, President and CEO of Digitalsmiths Corporation.

The application will deliver targeted and instant results based upon the user’s input. The searched terms can be as simple as a keyword, or as specific as selecting a character, a subject (such as “relationships”) and entering a key phrase. The results are returned quickly, and include a video reference that is streamed to the user. Studios, television stations and marketing groups will use the application to produce commercials for the shows above. Stay tuned!
