Digitalsmiths, the leading online video search company, has attracted a veteran Hollywood sales executive, Kevin Tannehill, to join its team.
Tannehill brings a wealth of television and film sales experience to Digitalsmiths that will be leveraged to expand the company’s footprint in the Hollywood market. Ben Weinberger, CEO of Digitalsmiths, said “Kevin possesses a keen sales talent that has enabled him to escalate through the ranks in Hollywood. We look forward to his contributions to enable our continued growth of indexing high quality film and television shows.”
Tannehill’s background includes serving as the President of MTM Television as well as the Executive Vice-President of UPN. While leading MTM, he supervised and launched The New WKRP in Cincinnati, the most successful first-run sitcom in syndication history. Tannehill was instrumental in planning, building and executing the UPN business plan, and is the one of the founding fathers of the UPN Television Network.
Tannehill emphasized the importance of video search by stating, “Studios, producers and content owners of all types must acquire Digitalsmiths’ technology if they hope to keep pace with the digital revolution in media and unlock the expanding value of their program assets. What Google is to the internet, Digitalsmiths is to video.”
Digitalsmiths’ innovative video search platform is being used by syndicated television shows and feature films nationwide. The company is releasing a revolutionary new video search technology that automates the process of indexing and searching video.
Tannehill joins Dan McBreen on the sales team. Digitalsmiths now has strategically located sales offices in Atlanta and Los Angeles.
