Ben Weinberger co-founded Digitalsmiths on a single premise – the Internet would revolutionize the movie, television and entertainment industry, driving a new level of innovation that would forever change consumer behavior.  This pioneering approach has helped the company transform an idea into a reality and a vision into thriving and fast-growing business.   The company’s flagship product, Digitalsmiths VideoSense®, the industry’s leading studio-grade, video monetization solution, has propelled Digitalsmiths to the forefront of multi-screen metadata management, media analysis and digital content publishing technologies. Ben graduated with honors from Southern Illinois University, and serves on the board of directors for the Honors Program at Southern Illinois University. He also serves as a member of the company's Board of Directors.

Matt Berry is a successful entrepreneur and senior technology executive. Matt has started and built several technology companies. In each instance, he was instrumental in not only the development of the company, but also the technical direction of the product. After exiting his last venture, Shortgrass Technologies, he took over a business development position at a publicly traded semiconductor engineering firm in Austin, Texas. As Digitalsmiths’ CTO, Matt is responsible for leading the global development strategy for the company’s market-leading product, Digitalsmiths VideoSense®. Matt graduated from Southern Illinois University.

Petra Weishaupt-Smith serves as CFO and COO for Digitalsmiths. Petra brings nearly two decades of financial experience in software and Internet technology to Digitalsmiths. Prior to Digitalsmiths, she was CFO of A4 Health Systems and served as principal financial officer of Total Sports Inc., an online sports media company.  She also held senior financial positions at SEER Technology/Level 8, Maxm Systems Corporation, BSG, Inc. and Ernst & Young International. Weishaupt-Smith is a licensed CPA and holds a B.S. in Accounting from St. Leo University.

With more than 20 years experience in software development and management, Isaac Kunkel serves as VP of Engineering for Digitalsmiths, and is responsible for the design, development, quality assurance and application support for the company’s products and software services. Prior to Digitalsmiths, he was a senior development manager for Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Carolina, where he was responsible for a large e-Business Application Development Team that delivered strategic projects for the health care provider’s B2B and B2C businesses.  Isaac also has held management and development positions at MCI WorldCom, Prudential Insurance and Unisys.  He has been instrumental in obtaining several patents, is certified by the Project Management Institute and holds a M.S. in Computer Science from Villanova University and a B.S. in Computer Science from Penn State University. In addition, Isaac is an Advisory Board member for IT People Corporation in Durham, NC.
