Tom MacIsaac | CEO of ExtendMedia
Tom MacIsaac is CEO and a member of the Board of Directors for ExtendMedia. He was previously CEO of Lightningcast, a pioneering IP video infrastructure provider, where he secured many leading broadband content owners and distributors as customers, including AOL, A&E Networks, Comcast, Disney, Fox, Hulu, MLB, MSN, NBA, Reuters, Scripps Networks, Time Warner Cable, Viacom, Warner Brothers and many others. After AOL acquired Lightningcast in 2006, as SVP strategy and corporate development at AOL, Tom played a major role in the transformation of AOL into a leading, diversified advertising business through his leadership in over $1 billion in AOL acquisitions. In addition, under Tom's leadership, AOL secured key partnerships focusing on the emerging area of multi-platform video monetization, including deals with Hulu, Verizon Wireless and Warner Bros.
Brian Handly | GM Publisher Solutions and Business Development, Microsoft
Brian Handly is GM publisher solutions and business development, and brings more than 15 years of technical, operational and executive management experience to Microsoft. Handly is responsible for managing all aspects of business development and go-to-market strategy for Microsoft’s Advertiser and Publisher Solutions division. His strategic guidance drives new business and expands the company's customer base. Previously, Brian was co-founder and CEO of Accipiter, which was acquired by Atlas in December of 2006. Prior to founding Accipiter, he served as vice president of technical services at Engage, Inc., where he led the team that initially developed AdManager. Handly has also enjoyed significant success in several other small business start-ups and entrepreneurial activities. Handly holds a BSBA in marketing from the University of Missouri.
David Samuel | Spinner.com and Grouper.com Founder
David Samuel is an experienced executive with a proven ability to identify market trends and build companies from the ground up. A serial entrepreneur and Internet pioneer, David has specialized in software and media since 1994. Previously, he was co-founder and president of Grouper.com, a website specializing in Internet Video, where he raised raised $5 million in Angel and VC financing. The company was acquired by Sony Pictures Entertainment for $65 million and David continued his role as president through the Summer of 2008. Prior to that, he co-founded Brondell and founded Spinner.com. Spinner was acquired by AOL in 1999 for $320 million. He graduated from MIT in 1994 with a degree in Electrical Engineering.
